Glossary

There are many new terms used in connection with SecuCert. We've explained all of them here and added some other which might be new to some visitors.

Verified Page - Verified Page is a standalone website on it’s own URL where the system publishes client’s information. It can also include a contact form, guest book or similar. Read more about it here.

Certificate - The Certificate is a Verification Step in the process of website authentication. It is only displayed when the visitor clicks on the Seal with a valid Secure Coded Link. It then shows the short version of the verifiable information, a link back to the website, and a link to the Verified Page. Read more about it here.

Signed Seal - Seal is a dynamic Javascript code snippet which is installed on the website. The Seal is shown dynamically and cannot be shown on a phishing, copycat or any other non-authenticated website. Read more about it here.

Personalized Cross-Signed Certificate Technology - This is the technology that runs SecuCert Signed Seals. Personalized means each visitor has his own personal signature; cross-signed means it's Signed on all websites which are authenticated through our system (any Issuer). Read more about it here here.
